Advanced Printing Options
 |
As an alternative to the wizard, you can print from a single advanced dialog by clicking on
Advanced (located in the lower left hand corner) in any of the wizard dialogs.
In addition to the options presented in the wizard, here you can set the position of the
image on the page and set the exact print dimensions of the image using inches and pixels.
As in the Print Wizard, first choose a layout type. FotoFinish provides a
number of easy-to-use layouts for printing. Choose from Simple, Standard Sizes, and Design
layouts.

Advanced Print dialog
|
|
Choosing Full Page instead of a layout will allow you to select a print size for your image.
Choose Fill Printable Area if you want your image scaled to fit an entire page. Check
Don't Crop to make sure that all of your images will show up on the page.
(NOTE: Resizing a bitmapped image like a photo means you resample the image and lose quality.
Filling the printed page with a small image might make it appear grainy and pixelated
depending on the resolution of the image.)
Choose Actual Size (inches) to print your image using the image resolution
embedded in it. You can adjust the actual size of your image by choosing a scale
other than 100%. You can also specify the size in inches. Once you fill in one
dimension, FotoFinish will automatically fill in the second dimension for you.

 |
Choose the actual size of your image in the Advanced Print dialog
Choose Actual Size (pixels) to print your image based on your printer's resolution.
With this option checked and set to 100%, your printer will print one printer dot per
every computer pixel. Printing at 100% pixel size will create
the best quality your printer can create. You can adjust this size by choosing a scale
other than 100%.

| Collate |
 |
 |
 |
|
Checking collate prints the pages of an album in proper binding order.
For example, if you print 2 copies of the same 4-page album, your pages will be
printed twice in sequential order: 1, 2, 3, and 4. If you don't check collate,
each page will be printed twice individually: 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 3, and 4, 4.
