Transfer Images from a Removable Device

With FotoFinish, you can easily transfer images from a CD or a memory
card to your hard drive. To transfer images, insert a CD into your CD-ROM
drive or a memory card to a memory or flash card reader.
Click on the Get Images From Removable Media Tool
on the toolbar.
In the first dialog of the wizard, select a removable media drive from a drop down list.
FotoFinish will scan the drive and list folders where images were found.
Select a folder to see a thumbnail representation of your images.

Next, select where you'd like to place your photos. To add photos to an
existing album select Save to and choose an album name from a drop down list.
This list contains albums located in your My Albums area. To save your photos
in a new folder on your hard drive, choose Save to New Album. You will be
able to specify its name and location in the next step.

You can also choose between copying your existing images or renaming
them using a prefix you specify. For example, you can add a keyword like
"Summer" in front of every image. If you choose this option,
your images will have a prefix and a number starting with one:
Summer0001, Summer0002, etc.
If you have chosen to place your images in a new album, once you click
Next, you can specify the name and location of the album in a
small pop-up window. FotoFinish automatically picks a safe,
default location but you can change this location by clicking on the
Change Location button.

You can also transfer images from removable media like CDs using the right-click menu available in
FotoFinish's Image Explorer. Right-click on the drive of your choice and choose
Transfer Images from this CD or Transfer Images from Removable Media.
