Four Easy Projects With Layers

Additional Projects
Texturize
Copy one image into a layer above another image and adjust its opacity to create a textured effect.

Create a Collage or Photomontage
Combine as many images as you want to create a collage or photomontage that tells a story, creates a unique art piece, or just helps you preserve memories.

Here a sailboat was cut out using the Polygon Selection Tool and added to a different image of the bay.

So why should you use layers? Layers give you the freedom to treat alterations to any image as independent events or objects that can be modified without affecting each other or the original photograph.

Move or delete the sailboat. Add additional copies of sailboat. Resize the sailboat. Without layers, modifying your collage would require a lot of unnecessary, extra effort.
