How to Touch Up Photos with FotoFinish
Before printing or publishing, quickly edit and retouch your digital photos with FotoFinish.

Rotate a Photo that Appears Sideways
When you take a picture with your camera turned to a portrait position, the photo will appear turned sideways when you download it to your computer.

The easiest way to rotate images that appear sideways is to use the FotoFinish's Photo Wizard. Once you have your image open, choose Rotate from the Wizard tab in the Wizard Window. Click the +90° and - 90° buttons within the Wizard Panel to rotate your image to the correct position.

Straighten a Crooked Photo
Every so often you'll take a photo where the horizon is not quite straight or other objects that contain horizontal lines such as a fireplace, fence, railing, or house seem crooked in the image. You can fix this by rotating the image by tiny angles until it looks straight.

With the image open, select the Rotate command in the Image menu. To use the rotation wheel grab the knob and, without letting go of the left mouse button, rotate it to any degree. You can also rotate the image by clicking on one of the preset arrow buttons or typing in a degree yourself and hitting enter.

As you rotate the image, you'll see the background color appear to fill the open space left behind by the original image. To get rid of the background color, you'll have to crop the rotated photo (see below).
