| 1. Should I get a seat license or a concurrent license? |
 |
Answering the following questions will help you decide.
Will you install FotoFinish on Individual PC's or on a network?
If you plan to install FotoFinish on individual PC's then you need a seat license.
How frequently will your workgroup use FotoFinish?
For use on a network server, a concurrent license is generally
better if the workgroup will use FotoFinish infrequently. If FotoFinish will
receive heavy use, a seat license becomes more economical. The pricing
tables show that one concurrent license costs about the same as 5
seat licenses. Are more than 1 in 5 of your users going to be using
FotoFinish at any one time? If so, you may be better off with a seat license.

| 2. Can I mix license types on the same server? |

Yes, but it requires two separate installations of
FotoFinish - one with a concurrent license and one with a seat license.
This works well if you have a small group of frequent users among a
larger group of infrequent users. The frequent group uses the seat
license installation and the infrequent users use the concurrent
license installation.

| 3. How many seats or users do I need to license? |
 |
If you are purchasing a seat license, simply count the total number
of PC's that will use FotoFinish and buy a license for at least
that many seats. You may want to round the number up to the next price-break
shown in the pricing table, to enjoy greater savings and allow room for growth.
If you will install FotoFinish on a network server, and the server is not used as
a workstation, you do not need a seat license for the server itself.
For a concurrent license you must estimate the number of licenses
you require by considering how often and how intensely your workgroup
will use FotoFinish. If you plan to run FotoFinish from multiple servers,
you need a separate concurrent license for each server.
For example, if you want to license 10 concurrent users split
evenly between two servers, you must buy two separate 5-user licenses.
The price would be identical to one 10-user license.

| 4. Can I add more users or seats later? |
 |
Certainly. If your initial estimate is too low, or if your
company grows, you can easily add more concurrent users or
seats at any time. But keep in mind that the more licenses
you buy at one time, the greater your savings.

| 5. Can I buy a quantity not shown in the pricing tables? |
 |
You can buy any number of seats above 10 and any number of concurrent
users above 2. Simply contact sales@smartdraw.com
or call 1-800-768-3729 and ask for the Network Sales department.
However, given the steep progressive discounts in the pricing tables,
you may find it more economical to simply round your quantity up to the next price break.

| 6. How do I administer a Seat License? |
 |
Under a seat license, FotoFinish tracks the identity of each computer that
runs it, and it only allows access to the number of users licensed.
The identity of each user is visible to the network administrator in a
special control panel. If a user who has used FotoFinish leaves the
company, or no longer needs to use FotoFinish, that license can be
"freed" using the FotoFinish Network Administration control panel,
allowing a new user to access FotoFinish.
